Eddie Kehoe

Former TFC 1st team Goalkeeper Coach

“I first met Lucas when he was 13 years old and trying out for the Ontario Provincial Team. If memory serves me correct he didn’t make it at first but that wasn’t the end of him! A few months later he was back in with us and he forced his way onto the squad. Lucas never had it easy, and never took no for an answer! What impressed me about Lucas in those early days was his love of goalkeeping and his dedication to his craft. He has not changed. Lucas progressed from Team Ontario to TFC and on to a professional career in Scotland. He never sat still and refused to believe those who doubted him. I’ve always believed that the best goalkeeping coaches are those who’ve had to overcome adversity and have studied the position in forensic detail in order to do so. That’s Lucas. His wealth, passion and knowledge is there for all to see. It rubs off on all the keepers he coaches. He takes great pride in his work, his goalkeepers, and their development. He’s also there for them during the difficult days because no goalkeeper I’ve ever worked with has turned the darkness in to the light more than Lucas. Adversity in to triumph. What a tremendous presence he is in the career of any young goalkeeper.”

Chris Eveleigh

University of Toronto Mississauga Head Coach

“As the Head Coach of the men’s soccer team at the University of Toronto Mississauga, working with Luke is an absolute pleasure. Luke has earned a solid reputation as a goalkeeper coach and he has a comprehensive knowledge of the game as a whole. His attention to detail and capacity to run sessions for our defensive and attacking players helped all players develop. His communication skills allow players to grasp tactical elements quickly and he is always willing to clarify questions that players might have. Thanks to the help of Luke the UTM team earned a place in the Provincial quarter finals and a place in the top 15 of the Canada Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s soccer rankings.”
